Naming a new little person is hard.
Revealing your name to strangers is an important moment. It sums up who you are in one word. Cutsie, fun, tough, beautiful, handsome, romantic, old school, trendy, traditional- it's hard not to judge someone on their name. One thing I've noticed is a confident person can really pull off a unique name. But, what if my children aren't confident? What if they're just weird and their name makes them weirder?
With all this in mind, we have a list of girl names we like. But we can't decide which one and don't know how to make the final cut.

This is the SHORT LIST. So... pretty much we're going to name her Girl or Kid until she's old enough to pick her own dang name.

Haha I don't think ANY of those names are weird. Some of them are ones I've always wanted to name my kids too (Layla, Macie, Mara and Maya). Any one of them would be adorable :)
Those are all beautiful names, you really do have your work cut out for you! I heard someone mention the name Eden (nickname Edie) and totally love it. Wouldn't really work for us since we already have an Annie. Just putting it out there! Girl names are SO HARD!
I am going to have to go with Joclyn, Macie, Lilly or Lyla. But really any of them would be cute. :)
Capri was almost named Maci, but I couldn't talk Steve into it. So thats my obvious pick. I like all the names you have up there though. Good Luck!

Oh my, how freaking cute are you. How much do I love that first paragraph? I MIGHT have read it like 7 times. Okay. 3. But still. I loved it. You are so entertaining to me!:) So much goodness coming out of you. You're brilliant. Anyways. I like (in order of best to least) Lyla, Noelle, Lilly, Joslyn, & Lainey. SUCH cute names! And I like the name Ellouise. But not for its real name. Just for all the nicknames you can make out of it. Like Elle, Ells, Ellie, Lou,or Lu, Louie, Lusie etc. Anyways. Holy crap I miss you. I have like a million reasons why I'm so glad you're my friend...even if you're a bazillion miles away and I only talk to you thru blog. Love you:)
