Lately it feels like everyone in the universe can't get enough of the Twilight series. Most of the people I know will be standing in line to watch the movie just as they did to buy the books. I on the other hand, was petrified to attend in fear I would hurl all over everyone during the love scenes. While reading the books I had to stop myself several times from actually throwing them across the room. I haven't read the last book yet... I might... some day.
I can't figure out what the appeal is. An always icy cold, pale dude who has this instantaneous eternal love for this impossibly unrelatable normal girl. I can understand the books being popular, but this mass hysteria? I really don't get it!
Were my books missing some pages? Did I not receive a memo? Am I drinking the wrong water?
I totally respect so many of the people that love this series and I know they're very intelligent. Why am I the odd one out?

The reason why I loved twilight series BOOKS (I hated the movie): The love triangle. I have always been a drama queen. Now that I am married there is not as much drama in my life, so books fill that void. I liked books 2 and 3 because of the triangle it created.
But you are totally normal to not like them. And the third book is my least fav. so good luck reading it someday.
Yeah, I haven't quite reached the same mass hysteria level as some women I know over Twilight. I didn't really like the casting on the movie, either, but I have heard from a few different people that you somehow end up loving the guy they cast as Edward as you watch the movie. We should have a girls night while you are here and all the sisters and mom can finally go see it for ourselves!
he he he...your comments made me laugh. I feel the same way you do about Twilight. I just finished the 3rd book. I was a little dissapointed with the movie. Why did they pick such and ugly Edward?
